The state of Pennsylvania has recently proposed a bill that is aimed at banning all non-compete agreements in ordinary employment relationships. Pennsylvania House Bill 1938 would prohibit all such agreements, other than those that arise out of the sale of a business, or the dissolution or disassociation from a partnership or a limited liability company.
